Industriebedarf Sachsen GmbH is a wholesale partner for companies in the mechanical engineering sector. A particular focus of the range is on bearings and drive components for rail vehicles. In addition to rolling bearings and drive chains, this also includes cast parts, springs, lubricants and seals.
IB-S’s customer service is characterized by long-term supply relationships with well-known manufacturers who ensure flexible and reliable procurement of all products and assemblies. The sales team in Dresden guarantees competent advice and on-time delivery – around the clock if necessary.
After delivery, IB-S customers have a comprehensive after-sales service at their disposal, which reacts promptly and accommodatingly to inquiries or complaints. In addition, the IB-S specialists offer their support as a development partner for customer-specific products or system configurations.
Rolling bearings for rail vehicles
IB-S supplies axle box bearings for large and permanent loads in various configurations as well as durable bearings for axle and motor drives.
The wheelset cylindrical roller bearings WI/WIP 120 x 240 and WI/WIP 130 x 240 are approved by Deutsche Bahn AG and are optionally available with a polyamide or brass cage. With more than 350,000 units delivered and assembled, the two axle box bearings are among the best-selling products in the IB-S portfolio. The WI/WIP 130 x 240 model is particularly resilient with a permissible axle load of 25 tons.
The roller bearings for axle and motor drives are generally available as standard bearings. Nevertheless, most transmission manufacturers rely on modified products for their own requirements. Thanks to close contacts with the leading bearing manufacturers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, IB-S can also offer high-quality rolling bearings for special requirements at short notice. A team of committed and experienced designers is available for new designs or calculations.

Roller bearing
The decision between standard-bearing and special-bearing has many aspects, from energy efficiency to cost-effectiveness. Advice therefore plays an important role in the IB-S sales team, so that every application finds the optimal bearing solution.
As a major importer, IB-S has been successfully relying on rolling bearings from traditional Czech and Slovak manufacturers for decades. In addition, bearings from the most renowned manufacturers from Germany, Asia and the USA are of course also part of the product range.

Castings
The cast range includes products made of spheroidal graphite iron, cast steel and cast aluminum. These are manufactured in certified foundries and machining centers that meet the highest quality requirements of mechanical engineering companies. The IB-S range of services extends from model construction to mechanical pre-processing and finishing to coloring and non-destructive material testing.
For many years, IB-S has been equipping high-quality cast parts with roller bearing systems for European railways in order to supply customers with complete wheelset bearings.

Castings for European railways
In addition to axle box housings, the IB-S range also includes end bearings and brake block shoes. Springs
The range includes cold-wound and warm-wound springs, which are available in a bare version or with various coatings. Drawings, samples or other technical data are required to order customer- specific springs.

Chains and lubricants

Cooperating manufactures, suppliers and ib-s too, have been working consequently this way. In 2015 we introduced the DIN-Standard EN ISO 9001:2015. Our selected manufactures have first-class certificates according European standards by Railway and Automotive Industries.
